This guide explains how to permanently delete your Language Player account. Please read all information carefully before proceeding with account deletion.
⚠️ Important Warning:
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
2. What Happens When You Delete
When you delete your account, we immediately anonymize personal identifiers and remove non-essential data on our servers. Details:
- Account Information: We soft-delete your account by anonymizing identifiable fields (email, name, photo).
- User Preferences/Favorites/History: Not stored on our servers. These are kept locally on your device and are unaffected by server deletion.
- Subscription Records: We retain necessary subscription records and store-managed receipt data to honor entitlements and comply with store policies.
- Fraud Prevention Data: We may retain hashed device/store identifiers related to free-trial eligibility to prevent repeated free trials across accounts.
ℹ️ Note about Subscriptions and Free Trials:
Deleting your account does NOT cancel any active subscriptions. Cancel directly in Google Play or Apple App Store to stop future charges. Store-managed free trials are limited to once per store account; deleting your Language Player account does not reset trial eligibility. For abuse prevention, hashed device/store identifiers may be retained.
3. Before You Delete Your Account
Before proceeding with account deletion, please ensure:
- You have canceled any active subscriptions through Google Play or App Store
- You have saved any data you wish to keep (note: we do not offer data export at this time)
- You understand that this action is permanent and cannot be undone
- You have resolved any pending issues or concerns with our support team
4. How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Through the App
- Open the Language Player app on your device
- Log in to your account if you're not already logged in
- Navigate to the Profile screen (tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation)
- Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" button
- Tap on "Delete Account"
- Read the warning message carefully
- Type "DELETE" in the confirmation field to confirm
- Tap "Confirm Deletion"
- Your account will be permanently deleted immediately
Method 2: Contact Support
If you're unable to delete your account through the app, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team:
- Send an email to support@chatinsoft.com.tr
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include your account email address in the message
- Our team will process your request within 7 business days
- You will receive a confirmation email once your account is deleted
5. After Account Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will be immediately logged out of all devices
- You will no longer be able to access any premium features
- Personal identifiers are anonymized; essential subscription and anti-fraud records may be retained as described above
- You can create a new account at any time using the same or different email address
- Creating a new account will start fresh with no previous in-app data, and will not restore free-trial eligibility
ℹ️ Data Retention:
We retain only what is necessary for legal compliance, billing, and fraud prevention (e.g., subscription receipts, hashed device/store identifiers). Analytics, if retained, are anonymized and cannot identify you.
6. Subscription Cancellation
To cancel your subscription before deleting your account:
For Android (Google Play):
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap the profile icon at the top right
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Select Language Player
- Tap Cancel subscription
- Follow the on-screen instructions
For iOS (Apple App Store):
- Open the Settings app
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select Language Player
- Tap Cancel Subscription
- Confirm your cancellation
