2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
Firebase UID: A unique identifier from Firebase Authentication
Email address: From your Google account (if provided during sign-in)
Profile information: Name and photo URL (optional, from your Google account)
2.2 Subscription Information
To manage your subscription and provide premium features:
Purchase tokens: Encrypted tokens from Google Play Store
Subscription status: Active, expired, or canceled status
Transaction dates: Start date, renewal date, and expiry date
Product ID: Which subscription plan you purchased
2.3 Advertising Data
Our free, ad-supported version uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Through AdMob, the following data may be collected:
Advertising ID: A resettable device identifier used for ad personalization
Device information: Device model, operating system version, and screen size
IP address: Used for approximate location-based ad targeting
App usage data: Information about ad interactions (impressions, clicks)
Note: Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements, and no advertising data is collected from subscribers. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
2.4 Local Data (Not Transmitted to Servers)
The following data is stored only on your device and never sent to our servers:
Favorites: Your saved YouTube videos and local video files
User settings: Subtitle preferences, playback speed, pause durations
Viewing history: Videos you've watched
Subtitle files: Imported SRT files and generated subtitles
Local video files: Video files you play from your device
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for the following purposes:
Authentication: To verify your identity and provide secure access
Subscription management: To validate purchases with Google Play Store and App Store
Feature access: To determine which features you can access (free vs. premium)
Advertising: To display relevant ads to free users via Google AdMob (subscribers are ad-free)
Customer support: To assist you with technical issues or questions
Service improvement: To monitor system performance and fix bugs
4. Third-Party Services & Content
4.1 YouTube Integration
YouTube™ and Trademark Notice:
YouTube and the YouTube logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Language Player uses the YouTube API Services to allow users to access YouTube videos within our app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or YouTube.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to free (non-subscriber) users. AdMob is operated by Google LLC and may collect and process data for ad serving and personalization. This includes:
Displaying native ads in list screens and interstitial ads in the player
Using your Advertising ID for ad personalization (can be reset in device settings)
Collecting anonymous usage data for ad performance measurement
Opt-out: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings, or by subscribing to our premium plan to remove all ads entirely.
4.3 Firebase Authentication (Google)
We use Firebase Authentication for secure user login. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
4.4 Google Play Store & Apple App Store
Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Payment information is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Payment processing is subject to the respective platform's privacy policy.
5. Content Responsibility
User Content Disclaimer:
Language Player is a video player application. We do NOT:
Host, store, or distribute video content
Provide, recommend, or curate specific videos
Control what videos users choose to watch
Monitor or moderate user-selected content
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access and use any content you import or view through Language Player. This includes:
Respecting copyright and intellectual property rights
Complying with content platform terms of service (e.g., YouTube)
Ensuring content is appropriate and legal in your jurisdiction
6. Data Storage and Security
We take data security seriously:
Encryption in transit: All communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Secure storage: Data is stored in Microsoft SQL Server with access controls
Hashing: Sensitive identifiers are stored as irreversible SHA-256 hashes
Access control: Only authorized personnel can access our servers
No payment data: We never see or store your credit card or payment information
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Advertising partners: Anonymous device identifiers and ad interaction data are shared with Google AdMob for ad serving purposes (free users only; subscribers are excluded)
With your consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your data
Legal compliance: To comply with laws, regulations, or valid legal processes
Service providers: With trusted partners who help us operate our service (e.g., Firebase, Google Play, AdMob) under strict confidentiality agreements
Safety and fraud prevention: To protect against abuse, fraud, or threats to security
Business transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Account Deletion Guide)
Data portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe or opt-out at any time

Language Player is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at support@chatinsoft.com.tr, and we will promptly delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:
Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
Deleted accounts: Most data is deleted immediately; some anonymized data may be retained for fraud prevention for up to 2 years
Legal requirements: We may retain certain data longer if required by law
12. Cookies and Tracking
Our mobile app does not use cookies. However, the Google AdMob SDK (used for advertising in the free version) may use your device's Advertising ID for ad personalization and performance measurement. You can control this through your device's privacy settings. Premium subscribers are not affected, as no ads or ad-related tracking are active for them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by:
Posting the updated policy with a new "Last Updated" date
Sending an in-app notification (for material changes)
Requiring acceptance of new terms (for significant changes)
Your continued use of Language Player after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
